CSS Minifier
Paste your CSS to remove comments, spaces, line breaks and the last semicolon in each rule. Strings and calc() expressions are handled safely. Copy the result or download a .min.css file.
How to minify CSS
- Paste your stylesheet into the box.
- Copy or download the minified CSS.
- Replace the file on your site, or link the .min.css version, and check the pages.
What minification removes
| Removed | Example |
|---|---|
| Comments | /* Buttons */ |
| Line breaks and indentation | Spaces at the start of lines |
| Spaces around symbols | color : red becomes color:red |
| Last semicolon in a rule | red;} becomes red} |
| Leading zeros | 0.5 becomes .5 |
CSS and page speed
Minified CSS downloads a little faster, but removing unused CSS usually saves much more. Page builders often load large stylesheets on every page. On WordPress, LiteSpeed Cache can minify and combine CSS automatically; test carefully after turning on combine options.
