Features to Benefits Converter
Customers buy benefits, not features. Paste your product or service features and get benefit statements using the "so you can" method, ready for ads, pages and sales calls.
How to use the converter
- List your features, one per line: what your product or service has or does.
- Add the customer’s main goal.
- Read each benefit and make it more specific to your audience.
- Use benefits in headlines and keep features as supporting proof.
Features vs benefits
| Feature | Benefit |
|---|---|
| Small batches of 10 | Personal attention and answers to your questions |
| Weekend classes | Learn without leaving your job |
| TSA-approved lock | Breeze through airport security |
| Automated reports | Save hours every week |
The so-what test
For every feature, ask “so what?” until you reach something the customer truly cares about, such as time, money, confidence or status. “Live projects” becomes “real experience”, which becomes “something to show in interviews”. That last answer is often your strongest message.
