How to create llms.txt
- Enter your name and a one-line summary of what your business or site offers.
- Add sections with ## and list your most useful pages as Title | URL | note.
- Put less important links under a section called Optional.
- Download llms.txt and upload it to your site’s root, so it opens at yoursite.com/llms.txt.

Should you add llms.txt?
llms.txt was proposed in 2024 as a simple way to point AI tools to a site’s best content in a clean format. It is quick to create and harmless, but it is not a ranking factor, and Google has said it does not use it. Your real priority for AI visibility is still clear, helpful pages that search engines can crawl.
