Free Email Spam Word Checker
Paste your email subject and body to spot spam trigger words, shouting capitals, too many exclamation marks and other patterns that make emails look like spam to filters and readers.
How to use the spam word checker
- Paste your subject line and email body.
- Read the risk score and the list of issues.
- Look at the highlighted text and rewrite the flagged phrases in plain, specific language.
- Check again until the score is in the green.
What makes an email look like spam?
| Signal | Better approach |
|---|---|
| Hype phrases like "earn money fast" or "100% free" | Say exactly what the offer is |
| ALL CAPS words | Normal sentence case |
| Several exclamation marks | One at most |
| Many links in a short email | One or two clear links |
| "This is not spam" | Remind readers why they are getting the email |
Words are only part of the story
Modern spam filters care most about who is sending and how readers react. Set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC for your domain, send only to people who signed up, and remove inactive addresses. Gmail and Yahoo require bulk senders to authenticate email and keep spam complaints low. Clean wording helps both filters and readers, but it cannot rescue a bad list.
Write emails people want
- Use the reader’s name and refer to why they signed up.
- Keep one main message and one call to action.
- Test the subject with our email subject line tester.
- Track opens and clicks with the email metrics calculator.

Is this spam word checker free?
Yes. It is free with no sign-up, and your email text stays in your browser.
Will using a spam word send my email to spam?
Not on its own. Filters look at many signals. But several hype phrases, caps and exclamation marks together raise the risk and put readers off.
What are SPF, DKIM and DMARC?
They are DNS records that prove an email really comes from your domain. Your email provider shows the exact records to add.
Is the word free a spam trigger?
Using free once in a natural sentence is usually fine. Phrases like 100% FREE in capitals with exclamation marks look spammy.
