Why assets matter
Assets make your ad bigger and more useful, which tends to raise click-through rate. Google’s Ad Rank also considers the expected impact of assets, so good assets can lower your cost per click. Add call and location assets too if you serve local customers.

Yes. It is free with no sign-up and works in your browser.
What were Google Ads assets called before?
Ad extensions. Google renamed them assets, but sitelinks, callouts and snippets work the same way.
How many sitelinks should I add?
At least 4, and up to 8 or more for larger accounts. Google picks which ones to show.
Do assets always show?
No. Google shows them when they are expected to improve performance and your Ad Rank is high enough.
