What is Quality Score?
Quality Score is a 1 to 10 rating Google Ads shows for each keyword. It is an estimate of how relevant and useful your ads and landing page are to people searching that keyword, compared with other advertisers. It is built from three parts, each rated below average, average or above average.
The three components
| Component | What it measures | Main fix |
|---|---|---|
| Expected CTR | How likely people are to click your ad | Stronger headlines with the keyword and a clear offer |
| Ad relevance | How closely the ad matches the search | Tighter ad groups with matching ads |
| Landing page experience | How useful and relevant the page is after the click | Relevant, fast, mobile-friendly pages |
Why it matters
Higher-quality ads and pages tend to get better ad positions and can pay less per click than competitors with weaker ads. Google treats Quality Score as a diagnostic, not as a direct input to the auction, so improve the experience behind it rather than chasing the number.

Is this Quality Score checker free?
Yes. It is free with no sign-up and works in your browser.
Does this tool show my exact Quality Score?
No. Google shows the exact score in your account. This tool turns the three component ratings into a rough range and tells you what to fix first.
Which component matters most?
Google does not publish weights. In practice, fix whichever component is below average first, then work on those that are only average.
How long does it take to improve Quality Score?
Changes to ads and landing pages can show in the ratings within days to a few weeks, once enough new data comes in.
