Search Intent Checker
Paste a keyword list to classify each one by search intent: informational, commercial, transactional, navigational or local. See which type of page fits each keyword best.
How to check search intent
- Paste your keywords, one per line.
- Add your brand and competitor names so navigational searches are spotted.
- Read the intent and suggested page type for each keyword.
- Confirm the tricky ones by searching them on Google and seeing what ranks.
The five intent types
| Intent | Searcher wants | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Informational | To learn something | what is seo, seo kaise sikhe |
| Commercial | To compare options | best seo course, seo vs google ads |
| Transactional | To act or buy | seo course fees, book demo |
| Navigational | A specific site | adifyskills login |
| Local | Something nearby | seo course near me |
Why intent matters
If your page type does not match intent, it rarely ranks, however well written. A course sales page will struggle for “what is seo”, and a blog post will struggle for “seo course fees”. Match the page to the intent, then make it the best result for that need.
